free dolphin rides
August 2011 – present
In August of 2011 my man and I bought a 1977 toyota “dolphin” RV from a friend in Portland, Oregon. We decided to sell almost all of our belongings, leaving nothing for storage, and hit the road as soon as we could with hopes of finding a someplace we would love to live. This series shows some of the photographs I’ve made along the way, from construction we did on the dolphin to some sights from our windows while traveling, and some of our personal life inside of the dolphin too. This is an on-going series as jean-paul and I continue to live in the dolphin, but only for one more month (we decided to stick around los angeles for a while). I’m in the midst of working on a book about our travels and life inside the RV, which will include both photographs and writing. It’s been one hell of a year and one of the hardest times I’ve ever been through and I can’t wait to share our struggles and fortunes with everyone.
BIO
megan kathleen mcisaac
born & raised in Metro-Detroit, Michigan.
(currently living in Los Angeles, California)
I have recently created photographs for Random House Publishing, White Iris Records, tumblr, Christian Bourgois éditeur, No Thoughts Zine, Hamburger Eyes, etc.
As far as a biography goes, I’ve been making photographs daily since I was 7 years old (thanks to my grandfather who gifted me my first camera that year) and am now 22 years old. I shoot film exclusively these days and spend most of my time writing, photographing, listening to music, making music, and traveling. I aspire to share more photographs with and make more photographs for publishing houses, magazines, record labels, etc. and hope to self publish my own books someday soon.
